Please don’t trash the Bentley Turbo

Fall of 2001, while getting Bentley/ Rolls-Royce Chauffeur training in Crewe, we had to past a test of driving faster and faster a Bentley Turbo especially equipped with a pneumatic system designed to trigger a lost of control of the car that was remotely controlled by an instructor.

The test that we had to complete was to do close circuits ovals faster and faster while somebody would trigger the lost of control of the car… Then the team would monitor how fast the chauffeur would get out of this emergency situation without compromising the safety of the passengers.

No, they didn’t played James Bond theme for the occasion…
